Noszvaj
The village with 1,700 inhabitants is 10 km far from Eger. Noszvaj and its holiday district, Síkfőkút, lies on the confines of the Bükk National Park and both have a real mountain climate. The history of the village dates back to the age of the Árpáds and has retained its striking panorama and the grape and wine culture of a historic wine growing region. The late Baroque de La Motte mansion is now a museum and a hotel and serves as a majestic venue of major Hungarian and international events. The natural beauties and architectural heritage of Noszvaj make a many-sided and attractive offer for tourists visiting the place including a variety of cultural and gastronomical programmes held from Easter Monday to St. Martin's Day.
