Alsópáhok

The resort near the Little Balaton (Kis-Balaton) offers quiet surroundings for those who seek rest and relaxation. The Old Town (Ófalu) still preserves its original and typical one-street settlement structure.

The village already existed during the time of the Hungarian Settlement. There are records from the 12th century of a village church that stood in the old cemetery and its walls are still visible today. The first written record of the town originates from 1259.
During the redrawing of county boundaries, Alsópáhok was made part of Veszprém county in 1950, then reallocated back to Zala county in 1979. The village consists of two distinct areas: the vineyards and the Old Town.

In addition to village tourism, visitors may also find services geared toward health and wellness at Alsópáhok. In peaceful surroundings several hotels and pensions offer opportunities for relaxation.
