Delta lands in Budapest

2006-05-10 13:14

The first Delta New York-Budapest flight touched down at Ferihegy on Tuesday, May 9.

Boeing 767-300 planes of the US airline now fly the transatlantic route five times a week; from 3 August daily flights will connect the two cities. For the route, Delta has forecast an average load factor of 75%, mainly American passengers.

The airline and the New York representation of the Hungarian National Tourist Office have joined forces to promote Hungary and the new route among North American travellers. Delta also launched its campaign promoting Budapest throughout New York with the slogan: 'Land in Pest and enjoy Buda'.
