Grand plans in Sármellék

Cape Clear Aviation, operator of the Fly Balaton Airport in Sármellék, is planning to invest HUF 9 billion (EUR 36 million) for the construction of a cargo base, another terminal and the preparation of an industrial-logistics park located next to the airport by 2009. Another phase of construction would include the extension of the runway by 700 metres, at an expected cost of HUF 2 billion. The airport is aiming to become the hub of the southern part of Central Europe.
