Bike-rental scheme to start next year in Budapest

The downtown area of the Hungarian capital and the Buda embankment will be the first areas locked in to the new bicycle-rental system in Budapest. According to the plans, the service will be available from 2011. The first 30 minutes of cycle use will be free of charge although users will have to buy an annual registration card to use the bikes at the 70-80 docks.
