Ferihegy terminals 2A and 2B will be united and expanded by 2008 and a new satellite terminal will be built in five years. Operators of the airport expect Ferihegy to generate passenger traffic of 12 million by 2010 and to become the largest airport in the region, the daily newspaper Világgazdaság reports.
Budapest Airport is planning more airplane parking bays and more services, said CEO Chris Woodruff. The operator of the airport is also planning to bring new commercial brands to Hungary’s largest airport; the first boutiques and gourmet restaurants will appear this year.
